Obituary of Ann Marie Peterson

Ann Marie Peterson passed away on November 29, 2014 in Sun City, CA. She was born in New Jersey on September 5, 1932 to Alfred and Mary Gelsinon. She graduated from Douglas College in 1956 and Rutgers School of Education in 1960. She began a long teaching career at Miss Beards School and then Rumson Fairhaven Jr. High School until 1963. While in NJ, she volunteered for many years at St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick. Ann moved to Riverside, CA in 1963 where she taught at Chemawa Jr. High School in Riverside until her retirement in 1998. While teaching, she volunteered at Parkview Hospital in Riverside and also served as a docent at Mission Inn Historic Sire for many years. Ann married in 1964 and lived in Riverside for many years before moving to Sun City, CA. There she belonged to St. Vincent Martyr Church and the Bible Study Group. She is survived by her sister Mary Clark of Mendham, NJ and numerous cousins. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 16, 2015 at 11:30 at St. Joseph Church in Mendham, NJ.
