Obituary of Rose McAliney

Rose McAliney passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 28, 2014. She was 83. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Queens and Elmsford, NY before moving to Brookside in 1976. Rose was a Supervisor for AT&T in Manhattan, White Plains and then Bedminster NJ before retiring in 1988. She also worked at the Mendham Country Day School in Basking Ridge, NJ where she was known as Ms. Rose. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Joseph Church in Mendham. Her family will remember her as a devoted and loving sister and aunt. She is survived by her nephews; John Murphy (Patricia) of Chester, NJ, Myles Murphy (Denise) of Annandale, NJ, two sisters; Patricia O'Connor of Brookside, NJ and Catherine Purzner of Georgia, and one brother Peter McAliney of PA. She is also survived by her grand-nephews Johnny, Connor, Danny, and Myles Jr and her grand-niece Emily. She is also survived by many more nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday Jan 2, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Mass Saturday 10am at St. Joseph Church, Mendham.
