Obituary of Vincent P Caruso

Vincent P. "Jim" Caruso passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2014 at home in Peapack. He was 87. Born in Oyster Bay, NY to Germano Caruso and Maria Pinelli, he has lived in Peapack since 1936. He served in the Navy from 1944-1946 aboard the destroyer USS Burdo 133 APD in the South Pacific Theater. He was a past Commander of the American Legion Post # 216 in Peapack, NJ. He was a Carpenter for 45 years before retiring in 2004. He loved Deep Sea Fishing and was known at the Jersey Shore as Black Beard. He is survived by one son James Caruso (Pam) of Gladstone, two daughters Theresa Caruso of Peapack and Sue Tsouhnikas (Doug) of Stroudsburg PA, one brother; Joseph Caruso of Conyers, GA, one sister; Josephine Badger (Raymond) of Gladstone. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren. A private family funeral service was held with interment in Belvedere Cemetery. www.baileyfuneral.com
