“Teddy” as he was always referred to by my mother (she and her siblings grew up with him) was the last solid superintendent of schools in West Orange: a knowledgeable, fair, decent man under whose direction the schools thrived. He has been and will be greatly missed. As a student, I always found him supportive and encouraging in what eventually became my career pursuits. My wife, who also knew him, remembers him with the same great fondness. Our most sincere condolences to his family.
