Obituary of James Francis Farrell
James Francis Farrell, affectionately known as Foxy, died suddenly on Sept. 12, 2014 at home in Mendham. He was 70.
Born in Newark, NJ he lived in Livingston and Maplewood before moving to Mendham 30 years ago.
He was in the United States Army and served in Vietnam from 1966-1968.
James worked for National Vision Assoc. for many years before retiring.
His family will remember him as a devoted family man who was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved being surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife Jane M Farrell (Stanley), five daughters; Jennie Bodnar (Robert) of Mendham, Chrissy Charles (Eric) of Mendham, Caroline Taylor (Joel) Bedminster, Lisa Merklinger (Rich) of Mendham, and Laure Kaye (Scott) of Somerville, one son Jimmy Farrell (Anna) of Salt Lake City, one brother Robert Farrell of Florham Park, and one sister Patty Ringkamp of Lewisburg, PA. He is also survived by his 19 cherished grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. A Mass celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am at St . Joseph Church, Mendham. Interment will be private in Hilltop Cemetery.
