Obituary of Thomas P. Kleinbard

Thomas (Tom) Patrick Kleinbard of Randolph, N.J. passed away peacefully on July 17, 2014 at Columbia - Presbyterian Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Tom (59 years young) was born at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, Queens and grew up in Paramus, N.J. Tom attended Our Lady of Visitation grammar school, Paramus Catholic High School, Fairfield University for undergraduate school and earned his MBA in Accounting and Taxation from Farleigh Dickinson University. Tom started his career at Nabisco's Fairlawn Bakery before moving to HQ in East Hanover, NJ where he worked for 33 years. Tom is survived by his parents Maurice and Kathleen (Nee Kelly), his four sisters, Kathy, Barbara, Fran, Pammy and his brother Jim, in-laws Irv, Paul, Dennis and Roberta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends and his faithful puppy, Jumper, who misses him dearly. Tom was very proud of his Irish heritage and traveled to Ireland several times to visit his cousins and family across the pond and faithfully attended the annual NYC St. Patrick's Day parade with many of his Aunts, Uncles, cousins and family and friends come rain or shine. One of Tom's bucket list's were attending Notre Dame football games in South Bend and attending all pre-game and post-game festivities with the occasional stopping in at a pub or two or three. A Christmas tradition every year started the day with an Irish coffee as a salute to his Irish relatives. TK found peace and relaxation on the blue waters of Long Boat Key and Sarasota, FLA. Tom was a faithful and loyal son, friend, cousin and uncle to all that knew him and he treasured and respected relationships that were the cornerstone of his life. He was raised by two very loving parents and fulfilled every aspect that a parent could ask for. TK's passion for cooking and a fine red wine were experienced by many fortunate people in his many dinner parties or just hanging out back by his grill listening to music. TK lived his life to the fullest through his very generous and thoughtful demeanor but expected nothing in return. A true gentleman and kind soul who is so very missed. His spirit will always live on. During his final journey, TK would like to thank Dr. Patrick Burns and his entire staff at Morris County Primary Care especially his nurse, Tanya, and Dr. Ed Zampella and Dr. Louis Schwartz of Atlantic Health. As well as Dr. Casilda M. Balmaceda and the staff of doctor's at Columbia - Presbyterian: Dr. Andy Lassman, Dr. Mike Sisti, Dr. Duiguid and the entire nursing staff in the Neuro ICU who made Tom's family and close friend's so very comfortable in the final moments. Last but not least is his Caregiver and best friend, BD, who considered it an honor and a privilege to take care of TK during this emotional journey. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 24, 2014 from 3-8pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Mass Friday July 25, 2014 at St. Joseph Church Mendham. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
