Obituary of Jeffrey Stuart Ballin

Jeffrey Stuart Ballin died suddenly at home on June 22, 2014. He was 64. Born to the late Jack and Jean (Gosninsky) Ballin in Irvington, he was a resident of Bedminster. He was an administrator for the Union Township Public Schools and a teacher and administrator for Newark Public Schools for 37 years before his retirement in 2011. He attended University of Charleston WV earning his BA, and Montclair State earning his MA. Mr. Ballin was a musician, and a baseball coach. He was predeceased by his father in 2006 and his mother in 2008. Survivors include his wife Kathryn (Blizzard) Ballin, his daughter Angie Johnson, his sister Terri Levine, and three grandchildren, Greg Whited Jr., Andrew Jordon Whited, and William Edward Whited, and eight nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main Street, Peapack, NJ 07977 (908) 234-0590. Memorial visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A funeral service will follow visitation at 7:30 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
