Obituary of George G. Bakelaar

George G. Bakelaar beloved husband, father and grandfather died at home on Tuesday May 6, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Newark he lived in Cedar Grove, Millburn and Madison, before moving to Basking Ridge 6 years ago. He was salesman for computer software working for Hillary Software, Princeton Soft Tech and Boole & Babbage. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Susan Maurer Bakelaar, three daughters Paige Bakelaar of Basking Ridge, Hilary Bakelaar Nugent (Ted) of Chatham and D’Arcy Weaver (Jason) of Far Hills. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren Delaney Nugent and Finley and Jack Weaver. His mother Bernice Bakelaar of Pennsylvania and his brother Robert Bakelaar of Mahwah. Visitation will be held Friday May 9, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home from 6-8pm located at 176 Main Street, Peapack, NJ. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church, Short Hills, NJ. His final resting place is Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
