Obituary of Margaret D Helene

Margaret D. Helene died on April 28, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was 75. Margy was born in Keyport, New Jersey and lived in Summit and Brookside before moving to Orleans, Massachusetts in 2003. Margy attended the Kent Place School and graduated from Wells College in Aurora, NY in 1959 where she was a philosophy major and star athlete. She was a longtime member of Baltusrol and Eastward Ho! She was a past senior women's club champion at Baltusrol and women's club champion at Eastward Ho! She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Julia Grace Metzler, and her brother Marshall. She is survived by her husband, William Burr Helene, and three children and three grandchildren: Andrew P. Helene of Brewster, Massachusetts; William S. Helene (Karen) of Cheshire, Connecticut and Margaret Metzler (Ted) of Mendham, New Jersey; and Emmy and Will Metzler and Lucy Helene. A funeral was held at Hilltop Presbyterian Church in Mendham with interment in Mendham Hilltop Cemetery.
