Obituary of Mary A. Hilton

Mary A. Hilton passed away on Jan. 16, 2014 at Holly Manor in Mendham. She was 88. Born in Orange, NJ she lived in Union and Budd Lake before moving to Mendham in 1989. Mary was a Communications Operator for Schering Corp. in Kenilworth for 25 years before she retired. She was a former Girl Scout leader in Union NJ. Her family will remember her as a loving mother and grandmother whose strength was only surpassed by her compassion and generosity. Mary was selflessly devoted to her family and friends. Her greatest pleasure was helping those in need. She was predeceased by her daughter Joan Dean; two brothers Eugene and John F. Mulvihill, Jr and one sister; Sr. Aurelia Mary Mulvihill. She is survived by one son; Robert Hilton of Long Branch; one daughter Janice Bowden (Bob) of Mendham, and her 5 grandchildren,Jennifer Bowden, Christine Bowden, Robert Bowden, Jane Dean and Jonathan Dean. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-6pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham, Funeral Mass Tuesday 10:30 am at St. Joseph Church in Mendham. Interment Hilltop Cemetery.
