Obituary of Louis Edward Roseto

Louis Edward Roseto, 90, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his loving family on December 19, 2013. Born in Ridgway, PA, Louis also lived in Johnsonburg and Erie, PA prior to moving to New Jersey where he most currently resided. Following his tour of duty in the Phillipine Islands as a Marine during World War II, Louis met and married the love of his life and his wife of 65 years, Benedetta Scarano. Although he was a business owner through much of his career, the most important roles of his life were those of husband to his devoted wife, and father to his five children. His huge heart and spirit provided a haven for many who knew him. His work ethic, tenacity and loyalty defined him as a man of honor, and his quirky sense of humor endeared him to all, especially to the many friends he made while an employee of Atlantic Cardiology Group in Mendham. He will be missed in so many ways by so many people. Louis was predeceased by his wife Benedetta in 2011. He is survived by four daughters: Paula Lindenberger of Arvada, CO; Louetta Shioleno and her husband Dr. Charles Shioleno of Mendham, NJ; Martha Roseto of Chester, NJ; and Carla Fabrizi of Morristown, NJ; one son Dr. James Roseto and wife, Catalina of Brookline, Mass; one brother Michael Roseto of Erie, PA, two sisters Emily Gardner of Colorado and Betty Jane Roseto of Erie, PA.  He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Monday Dec 23, 2013 at 12 noon in the Chapel at St. Joseph Church in Mendham.  For those desiring, donations can be made to the American Heart Assoc. in his memory.
