My deepest sympathy to Rich's family and friends. I meet Rich several years ago during a Roundtable workshop for DARE in Cranbury. He was someone who immediately could put a smile on your face and I can only image the joy he brought to children in his DARE programs. I ran into Rich many times there after at workshops and other DARE functions and it was always a pleasure. He will be sadly missed by not only myself but every DARE Officer that has ever been fortunate enough to have met him.

Sgt. Morales was a friend to all of Mendham and will be remembered as a model for everyone to follow: passionate about his job, dedicated to educate, and caring toward his family. I only met Sgt. Morales on a few occasions, but I remembered him well enough upon hearing of his departure to realize that Mendham Borough had lost a great officer and man. As a member of the Mendham Borough Fire Dept., I can assure everyone that Sgt. Morales was regarded as one of the finest and most respected officers that Mendham has ever known. My condolences to his family and I hope they find solace in this time of loss. RIP Sgt. Morales, you've gone home... and may you find peace and continue to protect us and those who went before.
