Mary C. Murphy died peacefully on July 31, 2013 at Morristown Medical Center.  She was 92. Born in Brooklyn, NY she lived in Queens, NY and Elmsford, NY before moving to Brookside, NJ  in 1976. Mary was a supervisor for AT&T in NY, NY and then Bedminster, NJ for 45 years before retiring in 1986. She also worked at the Mendham Country Day School in Basking Ridge, NJ where she was known as Ms. Mary. Her family will remember her as a loving and devouted  wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Survivors include two sons John Murphy (Patricia) of Chester, NJ  and Myles Murphy Sr. (Denise) of Annandale, NJ,  three sisters; Rose McAliney of Brookside, NJ (her dear sister, friend and caretaker with whom she resided), Catherine Purzner of GA., Patricia O’Connor of Brookside, NJ,   and one brother Peter McAliney of PA.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Johnny, Connor, Danny, Emily and Myles Murphy. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, from 2-4  & 7-9 pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham.  Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 3, at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Mendham.  Interment Hilltop Cemetery, Mendham.
