To Paul (Katie), Beth Anne (William), and family and friends,
Having just received notification and on behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), please accept our belated but sincere condolences on Lawrence’s passing. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We are thankful for Lawrence’s courageous service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service during WWII. He served on the destroyer escort USS Bates DE-68/APD-47 TMSA 1944, and submarines USS S-13 SS-118 TMSA 1944-45, USS S-11 SS-116 TMSN 1945, and USS Rock SS/SSR/AGSS-274 TMSN(SS) 1945-46, making War Patrols 3-4-5-6 on her. To our Brother of the Phin, Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country."
