Obituary of George Mazzoni

George Mazzoni passed away on April 2, 2013 at Virtua Berlin Rehab Center in Berlin, NJ. He was 72. Born in Morristown, NJ he lived in Rockaway and Stanhope before moving to Mendham in 1973. George was a 1958 graduate of Bayley Ellard High School. He served in United States Army from 1966-1968. George was the owner of Dean Painting Contractors in Mendham for the last 45 years before retiring in 2011. He was active in Mendham Boys Soccer and coached for many years. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and he was an avid scuba diver. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, and brother who enjoyed life. He was predeceased by his wife Faustina in Oct , 2012. Survivors include his son Dean Mazzoni and his wife Michele of Marlton, NJ, his two grandsons Nicholas and Samuel, one brother David Mazzoni of Chalfont, Pa, and two sisters Beth Tonelli of Carey, NC and Joy Theophilos of Lebanon, NJ. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5 pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd. Mendham. A Funeral service will be held on Sunday at 4:30pm in the funeral home. A private Interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery Mendham. For those desiring, donations to the Mendham Borough PBA Local 384 or the Mendham First Aid Squad, in his memory, would be appreciated.
