Obituary of Ronald Malcolm Lapoint

Ronald M. Lapoint of Gillette, died peacefully on Jan.16, 2013 at JFK Medical Center Haven Hospice in Edison. He was 64 years old. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ. He was the son of Helen “Peggy” Cappeto(nee Brinly) and the late John Lapoint. Ronald attended Cornell University in Ithaca NY, graduated with a BA in Hotel Management and worked for the Howard Johnsons Corporation in various hotel settings. He served with US Navy from 1971 to 1973 and the USNaval Reserves for 4 years. He was an Eagle Scout and was awarded the “Order of the Arrow”. He survived by his mother, Helen “Peggy” Cappeto of Gillette, his daughter, Lisa Michelle, and a brother, John of Pa. and uncle to David Lapoint of Stroudsburg, Pa. He was predeceased by his step-father Rocco Capetto in 2002 and his beloved sister, Sandra in 2005. A Service to the Resurrection was held on Jan. 17 at the Meyersville Presbyterian Church in Meyersville at 11am with Rev. Barbara Aspinall officiating. Interment followed in the Meyersville Cemetery.
