Obituary of Edward J. Breslauer

Edward J. Breslauer died peacefully at home in Rockaway on Jan. 10, 2013. He was 80. Born in Orange, NJ he lived in, Brick and West Orange before moving to Rockaway in 2009. Ed served in the United States Army during Korea from 1953 to 1955 and attained the rank of Sergeant. He worked for New Jersey Bell in East Orange for 35 years. He retired in 1985 as a Foreman. After retiring he enjoyed working at Bres’Corner Pub in Lake Parsippany and later at The Chadler Group in Fairfield. His family will remember him as a very patriotic man who loved history and enjoyed golf, fishing and summer vacations on Cape Cod. He was predeceased by his three brothers Donald, Gerald and David Breslauer. Survivors include his wife Noreen Breslauer of Rockaway, two sons; Edward Breslauer and his wife Dory of VA, and David Breslauer and his partner Jeffrey Leopold of Randolph; one daughter Cynthia Golden and her husband Bill of Brick; one grandson Daniel Breslauer; three sisters Dorothy Day-Miller of Peapack, Mary Frances Feeley of Huntington, NY and Kathleen Brennan of Barnegat, NJ; and one brother Joseph Breslauer of Rockaway. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Mass Monday 10am at the Church of the Assumption, 91 Maple Ave., Morristown. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. www.baileyfuneralhomes.com
