Obituary of Elizabeth Tredway
Mrs. Elizabeth Calvert Tredway passed away peacefully, on March 27, 2009 with her family at her side at Morristown Memorial hospital.
Born in Perryville, MD, she was raised in Dover and moved to Chester 70 years ago.
She worked in both the Chester and West Morris central School Systems for 40 years before retiring in 1991. She also worked at Larison's Turkey Farm Inn also in Chester.
Mrs. Tredway was a member of the Chester Volunteer Fire Co. No. 31 Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
She was predeceased by her husband Irvin Tredway in 2003 and her five sisters and 2 brothers. Mrs. Tredway's last family member Mary Rogers, her sister passed waway March 14, 2009. Survivors include her 2 children Charles Tredway, Sr. and his wife Marge, and Barbara Rolph all of Chester. Three grandchildren Sharon Neil and fianc Daniel Alpaugh, Sandra Borngesser and her husband Steven of Long Valley and Charles Tredway Jr. and his wife Pat of NC. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren Crystal, and fianc Christopher, Ashley, Steven, Ryan, Charles and Mandy
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd. Mendham. Funeral service Tuesday 11am in the Funeral Home. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery. For those desiring, donations to the Chester First Aid Squad or the Chester Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, in her memory, would be appreciated.
