Marilyn Gardner Roth, died on April 20, 2012 at age 88. She is survived by three children: Richard Roth (Bonnie), Beverly Roth, and Timothy Roth (Barbara), and five grandchildren: Joseph, Valerie, Julie, Kevin and Alex Roth. Her husband, Joseph, predeceased her in 1971. Marilyn was born in Columbus, OH, and graduated from Ohio State University with distinction in accounting. For many years, she volunteered at Morristown Memorial Hospital, and the Mendham Public Library. She also served on the Board of Governors of the Mt. Kemble Home in Morristown. In the 80' and 90's, she was active in her church; The Mendham United Methodist Church, until physical ailments limited her activities. She was an avid bridge player, but her family always came first. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11am at the Mendham United Methodist Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice, in her memory, would be appreciated.
