Obituary of Daniel P. Lombardi
Daniel P. Lombardi died peacefully on March 21, 2012, at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton. He was 92.
Born in Morris Plains, he lived in the Morris Plains area for 75 years before moving to Rainbow Lakes 15 years ago.
He served in the Navy during WWII in the North Atlantic and South Pacific Theaters on the Destroyer Escort Wilhote. He was a member of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association.
Mr. Lombardi was a Maintenance Mechanic for Tenco in Morris Plains for over 20 years before retiring in1982.
He loved fishing and the outdoors and for many years maintained a summer residence in Dingmans Ferry, PA.
He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, his daughter in law Veronica, his son in law Frank Simms, his brothers Ralph and Joseph and his sister Anna Gula.
Survivors include his son James Lombardi (Barbara), daughter Christine Lombardi, his grandson Brian Lombardi (Patti), And his four brothers Anthony, John, Louis, and Albert.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-7pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Service Saturday at 10:30am in the funeral home.
