Obituary of Doris Raymond

Doris Raymond (nee Murray) passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012, at Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Montclair, NJ, on Jan. 9 1930, the only daughter of Charles and Ida Murray. She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and the Essex County Adult Technical School with a certificate of Nursing, and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse before her marriage to Robert Raymond in 1951. Doris then became a dedicated homemaker, devoted to raising her family. She was an accomplished seamstress, and also enjoyed knitting and needlepoint. Later in life she began working in stained glass, creating many beautiful pieces for family and friends. Doris was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mendham Fire Department for many years. She also worked as van driver for the Morris County ARC, and as a school crossing guard in Mendham. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, daughter Patti, and granddaughter Hannah Long. She is survived by her son Robert C. and his wife Cheryl of Washington, NJ and her daughter Diane and her husband Joseph of Morristown. She is also survived by three grandchildren Michael, Renae and Claire. The funeral service and interment will be private. Arrangements are by Bailey Funeral Home of Mendham. www.Baileyfuneralhomes.com
