I will always remember "Jack" as sharp, shrewd and kind. He was always receptive to my visits to his office as long a s I never mentioned the word life insurance. we always had great laughs together. One time he was almost ready to secure some life insurance (it was like a miracle)and I had sent the doctor over to examine him. Apparently I misunderstood Jack's message as he "threw" the doctor out of his office. That was the closest we ever came, yet we enjoyed that laugh for many many years. G-D bless you Jack and your beautiful family.

My dear Uncle Jack!
You will be missed so much. I have so many wonderful memories: taught me about fishing in Wildwood, great barbeques at his home (making the grilled chicken just right), the love of the shore, drinking a cold one with my father and of course his laughter. We are so blessed to have him as an Uncle.

Jack will be truly missed by me. Never has a person been blessed to have a second or third set of parents. Thats what Jack and Sophie have ment to me. As a kid and adult, I was fortunate to go to the shore and fishing trips all most every year. To be included in their life because of Rob and Johnny has been very special to me. Jack's guiding light, humor and insight has helped me often in all aspects of my life. Though I will miss the trips to AC with Johnny and Jack, and the shore scratch offs, the Lobster house, and cocktails on the balcony, he will be with me forever. Say hi to all the folks we have missed Jack. Will catch up with you later.

Have you ever been lucky enough to know someone who always had smile, hummed a tune, and had a nice word for you? What if that person was your father? A great stroke of luck that would be, indeed. Your entire life is already at an advantage. I worked with Jack for 32 years in our small business that employs me and my brother John. My son Pat also did time there in his summers home from college, as did countless numbers of our friends over the years. We exchanged hardly a cross word in all those years of work and life and death. Much too much to mention here. I loved him as much as a son could, and he became a second Dad for my wife Sarah after both of her parents were lost quite young. I'll miss him alot, but am thankful for all those years.

Mr. Swatsworth....Rob's dad...I heard so many wonderful stories about him from Mike...and then I met him and Mrs. Swatsworth...and I understood. My heart is so sad to think that this man is gone but I can't help but smile when I think of him. He was so upbeat! So positive. So welcoming. I have the greatest memories of him at Long Beach Island -- many years ago -- many cold ones out on the patio and the funniest memories from Rob and Sarah's wedding in Iowa. Cocktail hour in their motel room. He made everyone feel special and it's obvious from reading these notes that I am not the only one that thinks so. He will be missed.

There have been many people in my life's journey who have influenced me.Some people have encouraged me,some have challenged me,some have shown me the next step, some have been there to pick me up,and some were my best friends. For all these friends and family members who have helped shape me into who I am today-- I am very thankful and so indebted. But words fall short of adequately expressing the deep gratitude I have for Jack. Trips to the Jersey shore, rooting for me to get a hit in baseball, laughing till he cried at my antics and jokes, always extending a helping hand when it was needed. Thank you Jack for being my "second Dad"

I have so many fond memories with Uncle Jack. I think of Uncle Jack in the kitchen with Uncle Willy and my Dad carving the Thanksgiving Turkey, Uncle Jack giving us rides on the tractor in his back yard, the men sipping Aschbach and laughing, and of course singing Christmas Carols on Christmas eve. Aunt Soph and Uncle Jack are role models for me on how to have a good, happy and loving marriage.
I know he is fine and happy in heaven sipping a Dab and having a hot dog with Jackson and the family. My prayers are with you Aunt Sophie, Johnny, Shiela, Emily, Rob, Sarah and Patrick. I love you all.
