Obituary of Vincent A Picheco

Vincent A Picheco died peacefully on Jan. 31, 2012 atMorristownMemorialHospitalwith his loved ones beside him. He was 80. He resided in Bernardsville and theMorrisCountyarea for most of his life. After retirement he spent his winters in Merritt Island,Florida. Mr. Picheco served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He served as a special police officer in Bernardsville for a short time afterward. He was an electrician with Rose City Electric(Madison) and Captive Plastics(Piscataway) for many years and also worked for Thomas J Lipton Co. until his retirement in 1996. Vincent enjoyed traveling, boating, and trips to the casino. He enjoyed helping his daughters train/show horses and working on cars with his sons. He was always starting a new construction project at his childrens homes. Survivors include his three sons Vincent (Kathi) Picheco of Long Valley, Matthew of Hollywood, CA, and John (Jennifer) ofFlorida, three daughters Michele of Lavalette, Amy Jo (Michael) Haberkorn of Randolph, and Christine (Adam) Galambos of Vienna, Austria and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be from the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help,111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville at 10:30 am. Interment will follow atHolyCrossCemetery,Mt Airy Road, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
