While many remember Aunt Rita for her signature quilts, what stands out most in my mind is how she made summers in Ocean City truly special for my brothers and I.
Together with Uncle Stanley, she would prepare dinners that felt like fine dining and then we would feed the seagulls leftover scraps as night fell.
She would even let us tag along as she combed the beach with her metal detector, always sharing the treasures she found with my brothers and I.
Those summers will always hold a special place in my heart.
