John J. Mastrobuono III passed away on March 1, 2024. He was 63 years old.

Born in Summit, NJ, to parents John and Adaria (Facchinei) Mastrobuono, John was a longtime Madison resident. He attended and graduated from Madison High School.

John owned and operated his own landscaping company, Masty’s Landscaping, and was proud of the work he did making clients’ homes beautiful. He was an avid sports fan, playing football and softball in his younger years, and enjoying watching his favorites as he got older, cheering on the Giants and the Yankees any chance he got. He was a hilarious man, the kind of person who always had a joke or something funny to say, always putting smiles on the faces of people he loved.

John is survived by his mother, Adaria Mastrobuono, son John (Gwen) Mastrobuono, daughters Emily (David) Kafrouni and Diana (Matt) McElgunn, brother Neil (Lauren) Mastrobuono, sister Carmella (Joseph) Doherty, grandson Logan, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services were held privately for family. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
