Obituary of Suseela Madhavareddy Prasad
Dr. Suseela Madhavareddy Prasad passed away at her home on February 17, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born on February 1, 1947 in Uppugundur, Andhra Pradesh, India. She attended the Government College for Women and then Guntur Medical College, where she received her medical degree. She was a skilled practitioner who helped countless patients for over 30 years in the Chicago area, initially as a pediatrician and later as an anesthesiologist at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL. She was an avid gardener, loyal friend and sister, and relentlessly supportive mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.
She married her late husband, Dr. Leela Prasad, in 1969, and raised 3 sons in Northbrook, Illinois. She is survived by Dr. Sunil (Dr. Darla) Prasad, Dr. Sandip (Dr. Michaella) Prasad, and Sanjiv (Dr. Suma) Prasad and seven beloved grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Leela and her parents, Ramaiah and Manikyamma Latchamsetty.
