John Austin Thomson Obituary
John Austin Thomson passed away on October 22, 2023. He was 54 years old.
Born in Fort Sill, OK, to parents John and Lynn (Austin) Thomson, John lived in Hawaii and Lawton, OK, before moving to New Jersey. He attended and graduated from Nutley High School in 1987 and served his country as a Petty Officer in the US Navy.
John enjoyed so many things in life. In particular playing hockey, his vast collection of music, serving his country in the US Navy and being a good friend to so many.
John is survived by his parents, John and Lynn Thomson, brother Jeff and his wife Danielle Thomson, half brother Alex Thomson, half sisters Jennifer and Sara Thomson, niece Dehlia Thomson, and nephew Benjamin Thomson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25th, from 6:30 to 9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham NJ 07945. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 26, at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home followed by interment at Mendham Hilltop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
