Obituary of Freda Gerardi

Freda Gerardi passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 14, 2023. She was 91 years old.

Born in Newark, NJ, to parents Erwin and Frieda (Schmidt) Schoenhaar, Freda lived in Mendham for 34 years before moving to Chester in 2002. She was a woman of faith and was a parishioner of St. Luke's Church in Long Valley.

Freda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who cared for her home and her family above all else. She enjoyed and maintained her summer house in Spring Lake, NJ, as well as her home in Chester. She loved to garden, play tennis, golf, make flower arraignments and crafts. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.

Freda is predeceased by her husband of 34 years, the late Harry Gerardi. She is survived by her sons, Scot and Keith Gerardi, daughters Debra Palumbo and Cheryl McCreesh, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Services were held privately at the Bailey Funeral Home for her family. She rests peacefully in Hilltop Cemetery, Mendham, with her husband Harry.
