Margaret White, 89, peacefully passed away on August 17, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Born in Garfield, NJ to parents Charles and Nancy (Benigno) Ribaudo, Margaret was a resident there for 83 years– working at the Garfield School District as an Administrative Assistant for many years before moving to The Villages, FL.

A loving mother, doting grandmother, and competitive Scrabble enthusiast, she brought joy to all who knew her. Margaret's loving nature extended beyond family, reaching her roles as a Sunday School teacher and active church member. Her creative flair was evident in her crocheting, gifting each child in her extended family with a handmade hat. Even in her later years, she was very active in The Villages Community Center, playing Pokeno and hosting bingo nights at her home. She was a “social butterfly” - her family often joked that they needed to schedule visits since her calendar was always so full.

Margaret is preceded by her husband of 53 years, Philip White. She is survived by her son, Philip White, and daughters RuthAnn Alexander (Edward), Nancy Owens (Jonathan), and Roseann Brown (Doug). Cherished sister of Angela Ribaudo.

Her light shines on through her grandchildren: Ashley Kinder (Michael), Marshall Lindeblad (Andrea), Kaitlyn Casamento (Evan), Jordan Owens (Amanda), Lindsay Kitchen (David), Lauren Brown, and Samantha Owens, as well as great-grandchildren (and arguably the favorites) Emma and Benjamin Kinder, Molly Lindeblad, Alexander Casamento, and Hayden Kitchen.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, August 20, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home, Mendham, NJ, including a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be on Monday, August 21 at 11:15 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
