Obituary of Irene Mae Zurcher

Irene Tiffenbach Zurcher (Hoffman) passed away on November 30, 2011 at Holly Manor Nursing Home. She was 86. She lived most of her life in Chester and Panther Valley N.J. with a second home in Greenville, S. C. Irene was a life-long member of the First Congregational Church of Chester where she was involved in many activities. She was also a member of the Chester Historical Society and the 50 plus club. Employed at Picatinny Arsenal and West Morris High School as a secretary, in 1968 she joined her husband's business, John Zurcher Assoc. Irene was predeceased by two husbands, Karl Tiffenbach and John Zurcher, and her daughter Nancy Tiffenbach in 2003. Survivors include her step children Ronald Zurcher of Michigan, Louise Wilson of Massachusetts and Ed Zurcher; one sister Margaret Ardin of Chester, 3 grandchildren, Ken, Jackie and Alison, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday December 10 at 11:00am at the First Congregational Church of Chester.
