I did not know Dave well except through my husband Dan. Each conversation he had with him he was very encouraged in the gospel of Jesus. He respected him as a young man and follower of Jesus Christ. He talks about his small bible which had well worn pages. I wish i had known him more. I am praying for the whole Vreeland family in their grieving. We are all mourning the loss.. I’m so glad to know we will see him again. Bye for now Dave. I can see your smile…

Our memory of David will always involve seeing his sweet smile and kind words. We look forward to seeing him again when life is truly just, kind, and when we will always be in view of the light and love of Jesus Christ. Mel and I will be praying at this difficult time for Becky, Ward, Shawna, John, Carole, and for all the rest of his family, as well as David’s friends. We will all miss him. David always seemed to enjoy our January Epiphany parties, at which I had taken some photos of David (see below) ; we always enjoyed celebrating with him. Bye for now, dear David! I will continue to cherish the times when we talked about our Lord and SaviorJesus Christ ,and your persistence, in the Tuesday night bible study ,encouraging us to study the Bible. i’ll miss your laugh, and your smile and your unexpected phone calls of encouragement, you will be missed David vreeland, but I know one day I’ll see you again, because of your faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, until that day, to live for Christ, and to die is gain.

I will always remember David as a caring person. I’ll never forget the Christmas I broke my toe and David felt so bad for me and just sat and talked to me that Christmas Eve.
