Giacinto “Giac” Finocchiaro

Giac left us suddenly on Saturday January 21, 2023.  He was 85 years old, born in New York City in 1938.

Giac was predeceased by beloved wife Patricia in 2017 and their only child Carlo who passed away tragically in 1997.  He leaves behind 3 first cousins:  Frank Fiasconaro, Steve Fiasconaro & Richard Fiasconaro, countless friends and Godchildren.

Giac had a soft spoken, meticulous nature.  He touched many lives with his generosity.   He would always keep a few loaves of bread handy to feed the deer that greeted him daily in his back yard.

Giac was proud of his Sicilian heritage and dedication to the Catholic Church.  He was honored to be a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.  He was a longtime active member of St Brigid Church in Peapack, NJ.

Giac enjoyed sticking to a routine which usually included lunch at his favorite restaurant, Trattoria Meditarranea with his close friend Dominic Pannia.

Giac had a successful sales career in the corrugated box industry aided by his soft, yet persuasive personality.

Visitation will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main Street, Peapack, NJ on Friday, January 27^th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 28^th at 11 am at St. Brigid Church, Peapack. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, NJ.
