Obituary of Shirley Ann McGuirk

Shirley A. McGuirk passed away on November 16, 2022 at Independence Manor at Hunterdon in Flemington.

Born in Peapack to Frank Morano and Lillian Bocchino, she was a longtime Peapack resident.  She also lived in Bernardsville before moving to Flemington 10 years ago.

Shirley was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Brigid Church in Peapack and later became a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville when she moved there.

Shirley loved the town of Peapack and had fond memories of growing up in town.  She enjoyed regular walks with her neighbors and cherished spending time with her family in Stone Harbor NJ every summer.  She also enjoyed swimming at the Jewish Community Center in Bridgewater for many years.

Shirley loved her grandchildren.  They were her world and she was their biggest fan, attending all their sporting events as kids.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph McGuirk and her sister Sandra Morano Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Ann Marie Byrne and her husband James of Hampton and her sisters Dolores Baldassare of Bradenton FL and Rose Marie Candler of Daytona Beach, FL.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Kati, Joseph and Kellie Byrne and her two great grandchildren Lilyana and Liam Byrne.

The funeral will be private.
