Obituary of Virginia E Blickens
Virginia Everel Blickens
“Ginger”
Ginger stepped from earthly life into Eternal Life in the arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, on August 7, 2022. She was known as a woman of wisdom and kindness and was a long-time member of Grace Chapel in Bedminster, New Jersey, a church family whom she dearly loved.
Ginger was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 31, 1949, and attended St. Paul School for Girls, followed by Gettysburg College, where she earned a BS degree in biology. She was a gifted artist and gardener who worked as both a microbiologist and a church administrator.
She found joy in her family who adore her. She is survived by Robert Blickens, her husband of 51 years; son Zachary Blickens and daughter Erica Blickens; daughter-in-law Sarah Blickens; granddaughters Sierra Zürcher and Kailah Blickens; grandson-in-law Pierre Zürcher; and sisters Lynne Perry and Gabrielle Lanier.
She lived her life by these verses, which were a daily encouragement and strength for her:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
- Proverbs 3:56
There will be a private service for the family, and a Celebration of Life service will be held on November 19, 2022 at 4pm at Grace Chapel, 375 Main Street, Bedminster, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace Chapel Missions Fund, 375 Main Street, Bedminster, NJ 07921.
