Obituary of Gloria P Michaels

Gloria (Glo) Michaels died peacefully on June 7, 2022. 

Gloria was born on August 23, 1926 in Seaford, DE.  She was the daughter of Joseph and Goldie Price. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph, Reginald and Anna-Marie Price. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Michaels, son Christopher Michaels (Ginger), grand-daughter Logan Black Roberts (Michael) and great-grandson Jaxon Black.   

At the age of 20, Gloria worked for the FBI and received a War Service Certificate from the bureau. She later worked at Forest Oak Elementary and Dickinson High School in a variety of positions.  Her career culminated at NCCOVO-TECH Delcastle after working 25 years as an administrative assistant. 

Gloria was known for putting the needs of her family before her own.  Gloria volunteered for years at the Delaware State Hospital with her church group at St. Marks Methodist, popping endless bags of popcorn and putting goodies together for the patients on weekly visits, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. If anyone needed anything at all...friends, neighbors, strangers and most especially family, Gloria would raise her hand.  

Gloria cherished being a grandmother to Logan, then Great-Grandmother to Jaxon, she was the true matriarch of the family. The stars, twinkles and pride in her eyes watching them grow made her complete. She will live in the memories her family keeps in their hearts forever.
