Obituary of Edward Michael Geisler

Edward “Eddie” Michael Geisler went to his eternal rest after a valiant 4 year battle with cancer. He was 71 years old.

Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Eddie relocated to Gladstone with his family 36 years ago and has been a resident ever since.

Eddie received his Masters Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and retired as Executive Director of the Health Care Payers Coalition of New Jersey. He served as a past President of the National Labor Alliance of Health Care Coalitions. When Eddie wasn’t working, he was an avid fisherman and loved deep sea fishing in Central America as much as throwing a line in a lake in New Jersey. He enjoyed a good game of golf.  Eddie absolutely loved Reggae music and his biggest regret was that he never got the chance to see Bob Marley in concert. Ed was a generous guy who lived life to the fullest. He was a force and will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.

Eddie is predeceased by his parents, Walter Geisler and Catherine Giordano, and his brother Thomas Geisler. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Teresa “Teddi” Molinari Geisler, brother Walter (Linda) Geisler of Melbourne, FL, niece Ann Geisler of Boston, MA, and Robyn Geisler of Palm Bay, FL, aunts Mary Poris of West Orange, NJ, and Yolanda Hummel of Mountainside, NJ.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24 from 4-7 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St, Peapack NJ 07977. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 25 at 10:30 AM at St. Brigid Church, 129 Main St, Peapack NJ. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddie’s name may be made to the Peapack Gladstone First Aid Squad at PO Box 14, Peapack NJ 07977.
