Obituary of Marilyn E Herrington

Marilyn Herrington, beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother died at 11:30 am Thursday morning at home in Fellowship Village, Basking Ridge. A former resident of Gladstone, and Watchung, and member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Peapack. Daughter of Vance Hartwell Trueblood (deceased) and Bess Mackoy Trueblood (deceased) of Sioux Falls, S.D. and widow of Kermit Herrington, also a native of Sioux Falls. She is survived by her children Marc Herrington of New Jersey, Karl Todd of Seattle, Washington and Joyce Spinello of Highland Park, New Jersey, son-in-law Jim Spinello and grandchildren Jason, Kelsey and Connor Herrington, Xanadu Caban and Elena Cargill. She is also survived by her sister Rosemary MacDonald of Reston, Virginia and Mike Trueblood of La Canada, California. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Luke's. Marilyn graduated from Hamline University in 1947 and in 1995 earned a Masters in Music Education from Westminster Choir College of Rider University. She taught piano nearly her entire adult life only retiring at age 74. She was an organist at several churches in central New Jersey beginning in 1966 and devoted her music career to teaching young children. Viewing will be at Bailey Funeral Home in Peapack 176 Main St. on Sunday, October 2, from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
