Obituary of Donald J Rainone

Donald J Rainone (DJ) passed away peacefully on Nov 21, 2021 after losing his battle with cancer.  He was 44. Born in Manhasset, NY he grew up in Mendham, NJ and lived in New York City before moving to Florida in 2015.

He attended Delbarton in Morristown, NJ and Princeton University.  He worked as a self-employed Business Consultant for many years.  He moved his business in 2015 to Florida to help care for his father and has lived there ever since. DJ enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends.  He enjoyed a good laugh and had an amazing sense of humor.  Anyone that truly knew him, knew that he had such a big heart and would have experienced his selflessness and kindness.  He knew how to draw people in and willingly helped them with any problem.  He will always be remembered as a caring thoughtful son, brother, uncle and friend.  His nephews would not only describe him as the best uncle ever but also as their best friend.

He was predeceased by his father Donald J Rainone, his sister Kristen Marie Rainone and his grandparents Donato and Luchina Rainone and Werner and Kuni Kranz.

He is survived by his mother Trudie Rainone, sisters Kimberly Rainone and Danielle Rainone Roofener, and brother-in-law Ted Roofener.  He is also survived by his two nephews Chase and Drew.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Mass Saturday 11am at St. Joseph Church, Mendham.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ocean Research Conservation Research (ORCA), 2515 Airport N. Dr, Building B, Vero Beach, FL 32960, in his memory, would be appreciated.
