Obituary of Donna L Christman

Donna L. Christman passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 12, 2021.  Donna was born on December 9, 1946 to adoring parents Irvin C. Kilby and LaReta B. Kilby in New Jersey. 

Donna is survived by the love of her life, Paul Roger Christman, to whom she was married for 51 years.  They were devoted to each other.  Donna’s pure joy was her family who she cherished above all else.  Her son, Paul “Roger” Christman II, her two grandsons, Paul “Tripp” Christman III, Tate Carlisle Christman and her daughter-in-law, Ellen Nash Christman. 

Raising her family in Bedminster, New Jersey; Long Beach Island, New Jersey; and Palm Beach, Florida, Donna was a rare beauty.  She was always spectacularly dressed and even more spectacularly kind. 

Donna’s uncommon grace, manners and elegance made a deep impression on all who knew her.  Her gourmet cooking, glorious gardening, landscaping, floral arranging and awe-inspiring decorating touched all.  Her tablescapes were so extraordinary that people never forgot them.  Donna’s unparalleled fashion sense added to her exquisite nature. 

Donna had the uncanny ability to celebrate every special moment for family and friends from birthdays to holidays to anniversaries.  Her special touches are legendary and will be treasured by family and friends forever.  Her unique light of kindness and goodness shone brightly on everyone she knew and everyone she encountered.

A private, family-only celebration of Donna’s life was held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Gladstone, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Donna L.
