Obituary of Mary Clark

Mary Gelsinon Clark 92, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 .
 

She is predeceased by her loving sister and best friend, Ann and husband, Robert.

She was born in South Amboy, NJ, and lived in Mendham Township for over 60 years. She earned her Economics degree from Douglas College and started her career with Morgan Stanley and Bell Labs then on to teach in Mendham Township for 27 years. She later earned her Master’s Degree of Theology from St Elizabeth University. 

She was very active with St Joseph Parish, Mendham, NJ, working as a Eucharistic Minister and forming a thriving Human Concerns Ministry. She led many causes for social justice in the community and worked closely with the Father English Center in Paterson. She also championed animal rescue in the area, assisting with several rescue organizations and adopting over 60 rescue cats and dogs including her last companion, Betsy.

She leaves many dear friends and a special thank you for the loving care in her last years by Lisa, Guisselle, Lydia, Fleurzila and Ginette.

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place with a Memorial Mass on December 7th 11:00 am at St Joseph Church in Mendham, NJ.
