Obituary of Elizabeth E. Hayward

Elizabeth Hayward, 90, of Morristown, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at her home.

Elizabeth was born in Morristown, December 3, 1930, to Earl and Adele Anderson. Elizabeth grew up in Morristown, where she met and married her husband Edward Hayward on August 7, 1949. Edward predeceased Elizabeth on January 14, 2010. Elizabeth is survived by her son John Hayward of Keene, NH, her grandson Brooks and his wife, Christine of Epsom, NH, Caton of Concord, NH and Matthew of Manchester, NH, and one great-grandson.  

Elizabeth worked for 50 years for the Morris Township  Board of Elections. She also worked for the Morristown School District and Epstein's Department Store.  Elizabeth was a volunteer in Morristown. She was an active member of the Morris Township Senior Citizen's Club and was the Chairperson of their annual food drive.  She was also a member of the Hillside Hose Company Ladies Auxillary for many years.  

There will be no visiting hours. The family will have a private graveside ceremony at Hilltop Cemetery in Mendham.  Donations in Elizabeth's memory can be made to the New Jersey Firemen's Home 565 Lathrop Ave. Boonton, NJ 07005.
