Obituary of Annie Carver
Annie Carver passed away in her home on June 11, 2021. She was 86 years old.
Born in Scotland, UK, to parents John and Annie (Crossan) Berrie, Annie made her way to the United States in 1964, landing in New York, NY. She later moved to North Caldwell, New Jersey, and started a beautiful family. She has called Bedminster home for the past 16 years.
Annie attended and graduated from a university in Scotland with a degree in Nursing. She worked with her late husband, Dr. James C. Carver Jr. at his practices in NYC and Montclair, NJ for many years until their retirement. Annie was a caring person with a big heart and loved nothing more than time with her family, close and extended. She was the hub of the whole clan and always knew what was going on with every relative, as she spent so much time and effort to check in and catch up. She also spent a lot of time in the kitchen, feeding those she loved as well. Annie was an incredible cook and wowed her family with her culinary expertise regularly... her shepard’s pie and short bread cookies are legendary.
Annie is predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, James Carver Jr MD, and her five siblings. She is survived by her sons, James (Colleen) Carver of Pittsburg , PA, and Jon Carver of Oakland, CA, daughter Marianne (Fred) Trent of Bedminster, NJ, and grandchildren Ethan, Isadora, Sophia, and Griffin.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 16, at 10:30 AM at St. Brigid Church, 129 Main Street, Peapack NJ 07977. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annie’s memory may be made to Atlantic Visiting Nurse.
