Obituary of Robin T Reifinger
Robin T. Reifinger passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was 54.
Robin was born in Bronx, NY and worked as a Registered Nurse at several New York hospitals. She was proud and honored to have served as one of the first nurses nationwide to provide care and compassion to patients with AIDS at the start of The Global HIV/AIDS Epidemic.
Robin moved to NJ and lived in Cranbury for 20 years where she raised her family. She moved to Mendham Township in 2015 to be closer to her children who went to college in the area.
Robin lived her Catholic Faith by being an active member of the Columbiette’s at St. Cecilia’s in Monmouth Junction, NJ. She enjoyed teaching CCD for many years, participating in Camp St. Cecilia’s as the Camp Nurse and Arts and Craft Director, as well as leading the Stations of the Cross through Mary’s eyes. Although moving away from her parish was difficult, she felt blessed to find a parish in her new town where she felt welcomed. She has been a parishioner at the Church of the Assumption in Morristown for the last five years.
Her family will remember her as a loving wife and as the most selfless, strong, invincible, and devoted mother to not only her children, but also to their significant others, her nieces and nephews, and her children’s friends. She is a mom to many.
She is survived by her husband Steven and her children; son, Drew Reifinger and his wife Kristina of Whippany; daughter, Alexa Reifinger and her husband Constantinos Bacas of Mendham; and son, Sean Reifinger and his girlfriend Sarah Carty of Mendham. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters.
