Obituary of Shirley Ann Stengel
Shirley Ann Stengel, of Chester, NJ passed away on December 18, 2020. She was 84 years old.
Born on September 16, 1936 in Annandale NJ to the late Frances D Robinson (Smith), she grew up in the Morristown and Mendham area with her adoptive parents William and Hazel Murphy. She later settled in Chester, NJ her home for over 50 years.
Shirley was a homemaker and accomplished artist. She enjoyed bird watching and caring for her beloved pets.
Shirley is predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, George Stengel, her son Scott Stengel, and her sister Betty Masefield. She is survived by her daughter Terry Keyser and her husband Roger of Long Valley and son Roger Stengel of Andover, grandchildren Scott Stengel Jr., Kristen Meehan (James), Thomas and Bryan Fylstra, Robert Keyser, eight great-grandchildren, and by many other family members and friends.
A graveside prayer will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd at 11am at Hilltop Cemetery, 18 Hilltop Road, Mendham NJ 07945.
