Obituary of Perry Edwards Hall
Perry Edwards Hall II, 73, of Far Hills, NJ, died peacefully on July 30,
2011 in the company of his loving wife, Jeanne, and his children. He was
born in Short Hills, NJ on January 23, 1938. A son of Herbert and Molly
Hall, Perry grew up with 4 siblings: Seymour, Brooks, James and Holly. He
graduated from Phillips Academy Andover in 1956, and Princeton University
1961, where he played hockey and lacrosse. Perry enjoyed a 40 year career
in finance and retired in 2001 from Morgan Stanley in New York.
He will be remembered for his extreme generosity to all he knew and his
enthusiastic spirit. He maintained a beautiful farm in Far Hills, NJ, and
enjoyed time on Long Beach Island, NJ and in Dorset, VT. Most importantly,
Perry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne, son Perry and his wife Lynn, son Brooks
and his wife Sally, son Ben and his wife Laura, step-daughter Sandra Cane
and her husband Michael, step-daughter Gennifer Puppe and her husband Kevin,
eleven grandchildren, siblings Seymour, James and Holly, first wife Virginia
Birch, many nieces and nephews and his dog Hunter.
A funeral service was held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Gladstone, NJ
on Wednesday August 3rd at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, expressions of
sympathy may be made in Perry's memory to The American Cancer Society, P.O.
