John was a very king and generous man. The first time, my children remember meeting John was at one of his Super Owl parties. Towards the end of the night, he took them to his fridge and gave them ice pops. From that moment on they new him as the ice pop guy. John loved the fact that they remember him as that. He will always have a special place in our hearts as the ice pop guy. John will be be deeply missed.

So sad to hear of JT’s passing. He was such a warm, open hearted, gregarious and generous spirit. He always had a joke or funny story to tell. We will miss him greatly.

My heart aches with the loss of this kind gentle soul. JT was always true to his word. He touched so many people with his kindness and always had a smile. He will be missed by many. The world truly lost an angel - may you rest in peace my friend.

So sad to hear the news of John's passing. I knew him as a friend in Boy Scouts and then in high school where we attended a number of classes together. Some of my best memories of John are of us fishing together, including opening day of trout season on the Beaverkill. We were camping and it was so cold that I slept with a can of worms in my sleeping bag so they would'nt freeze. John, of course, thought that was hilarious! Godspeed, John. I will miss you and keep you in my heart. Goodbye, friend.

John was a dear friend to Gail and me through many phases of his life, Gail's friendship began in 1975, pretty much John's first day working at Lakeland School in Chester.
John was a great traveling companion, the Godfather to our daughter, and an unofficial adopted member of our family (as well as several others).
We miss you my friend but have many treasured memories.

I had the privilege of knowing John since the early 1960's, when our families happened to vacation together in the Franconia Notch region of New Hampshire. We became fast friends in early 70's, and I was lucky to have him as the guide on a cross country VW van tour of the American West, as well as many more subsequent adventures - Hiking, going to Hawaii, digging for relics, etc. He was just the best - smart, funny, loyal, generous, and he always displayed the wonder of a child with so many things he encountered in life, That must be the secret to happiness! I'll miss him so much but I know he wouldn't want me to be sad so I'll do my best to try to remain upbeat, but man, it's gonna be hard!

It is so very uplifting to read cousin John's (JT) obituary and to be contacted by several of his close friends over the past week. He was truly 1 in a billion. John and I played together as very young children in Hoboken. I remember those days like yesterday. Over the years we would see each other at family events, some joyous, some not so. He will be missed at our holiday gatherings where we would simply enjoy his stories and company. Rest in Peace my dear cousin.
