Obituary of Nuri Ismirlian

PEAPACK- Nuri Ismirlian died suddenly on Monday, July 18, 2011, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 54. Born in Pitesti, Romania to the late Elia "John" Ismirlian and Sara (nee Soos) Ismirlian, he came to the United States in 1967. Nuri resided in Summit, Bernardsville and Chester Township before moving to Peapack-Gladstone Borough fifteen years ago. Upon graduation from Summit HS, he worked at the family dental laboratory and later at Charley's Aunt in Bernardsville. He graduated from Morris County Vo-Tech as a licensed HVAC technician. Nuri was employed by Eggert Oil and most recently co-owned and operated Executive Pool Services. Nuri was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Bernardsville. He was an assistant coach for the athletic program at St. Elizabeth's School and attended all school events which he enthusiastically photographed for the school community. Nuri was a devoted husband and father. He was a gentle, kind and hard-working man who had a witty and playful sense of humor that put everyone at ease. He was loved by family, friends and all who knew him. Nuri is survived by his wife, Cristin Roach; son Ryan; daughters Taryn and Claire; as well as his mother Sara; sister Brighitte Whipple, her husband Bill; and nieces Chloe and Tess of St. Petersburg, Florida. Arrangements are by Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main Street, Peapack, NJ 07977. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge.
