Obituary of Donald A. Quimby

Donald A. Quimby died on July 10, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 86. Born In Mendham, he lived in Mendham for 83 years before moving to Basking Ridge in 2008. Mr. Quimby worked at Mendham Hardware and Paint Store. He served in the Army in the 66th Infantry and 4th Infantry "Ivy Division" from 1943 to 1946 and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He is predeceased by his wife Eleanor in 1991. His family will remember him as a loving and dedicated husband and father who had a great sense of humor and raised a loving family. Mr. Quimby is survived by a son Arthur and his wife Linda of Brick, a daughter Janice Holz and her husband Theodore of Hackettstown, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 13, from 1 to 3 pm at the Bailey Funeral Home in Mendham. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Hilltop Cemetery.
