Dear Family of Sr. Anna:
We knew her as Sr. Perpetua. In the 1960's, she was our Mother Superior in St. John the Baptist School in Pottsville. She was loved and respected by all of us. After she retired to Danville, there were a group of at least 12-14 of us who would take turns in groups of 4 or 5 and visit her yearly. We would take gifts, treats, candy and Yuengling beer. Sr. Anna along with Sr. Marietta, who was our 1st grade teacher, looked forward to our visits from Pottsville. Sr. Anna would laugh at our stories we told her of what "shenanigans" we did at school without the nun's knowledge. She so enjoyed all those fond memories we shared with her. Please know that we all from St. John's are so sad to hear of her passing, Love, Peace.
