Obituary of Ida J. Alonge

Ida J Alonge passed away on June 15, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was 88. Born in Brooklyn she lived in Lincoln Park before moving to Florham Park 12 years ago. Mrs. Alonge worked as an Office Manager for Baxter Corporation in Paterson for 49 years before she retired. After retirement she worked at Michael's Craft Store in East Hanover for the last 12 years. Everyone at Michaels knew her as the yarn lady and she had a following of loyal customers. Her family will remember her as someone who would do anything for her family. She was predeceased by her son George and her great-granddaughter Caitlyn Daley. Survivors include one daughter Catherine Makosky (Tom) of Florham Park, and one son John Alonge of San Diego, CA, and two sisters Anne Caruso and Yolanda Capuano of Convent Station. She is also survived by her grand-daughters Dianne Ackerman of Mendham and Christine Daley of Shawnee, KS and her great grandchildren Steven and Kristin. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday from 7-9pm at the Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Avenue Florham Park.
